Targeted group therapy focusing specifically on compliance can help to reduce rates of re-hospitalisation / readmission, so patients need to have access to therapies, as they can go a long way towards helping reduce the risk of relapse.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and

Children

The corner stone of treatment is to help

the individual to experience the trauma

and its meaning in affectively tolerable

doses in the context of a safe

environment. Only in this way can the

overwhelming traumatic experience be

mastered and integrated into the persons

personality. Non directive forms of

therapy have little place in the treatment

of children with PTSD.
